The Lemosho Route is the extremely scenic route compared to the other route in Kilimanjaro, with plenty of time for acclimatization that may lead to increase chance of reaching the Uhuru peak. (summit of mount Kilimanjaro 5895m.)
We recommend a that eight (8) days is preferable for better acclimatization provide the necessary stages for acclimatization, this may made you to be sure to reach UHURU PEAK 5895M (the top of the mountain)
The first two days of this route we will walking through rainforest with possibly reached by buffalo, elephant and other big game animals because this side of the mountain its bordered by Kenyan national park (Amboseli) so Animals used to climb up and down for the food, water and mineral. then we get into heath and moorland then to the huge Shira plateau possible to see Eland and Buffalo in here and Shira peak 4160m only for those taking 8days can go the for those with 7days there are no chance for them.
On the third day we will be meet with our fellow climbers Machame route , and Shira route then join to Great Baranco camp that make huge Baranco camp to look like the Big City in Kilimanjaro and share some experience from the deference hikers from deference countries.
On the time you arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport you will be picked up with our driver and transferred to the hotel where you will have rest and relax or explore Moshi town and the surrounding areas on one of our day tour, visiting the local market known as market for everyone, Moshi city center and some little biking, end up to njoro forest, the choice is yours. In the morning after breakfast you will departure Moshi and drive to the Kilimanjaro National Park Lemosho gate, home to the world’s tallest free-standing mountain, Mount Kilimanjaro 5895m. After we arrived at the Lemosho Gate you will make the registration, ready to get in Kilimanjaro.
Here it will take a little bit time before the team of Guides, Chefs and Porters, start trekking , because they have to sort out each and everything to be used to Kilimanjaro for hole days eight days Lemosho route. NB it will be also the good time to have your lunch out there before we switch back to starting point of our route.

After registration and once the team is ready for the hiking, they will call you and take a jeep again drive back to the starting point of lemosho route crossing over the thick forest of pine plantations then after starting point get off from jeep , ready to start hiking as we departure from lemosho starting point soon we will start the rainforest, look for towering Eucalyptus trees, bird life, Columbus monkeys and the appearance of flowers such as impatiens kilimanjari and impatiens pseudo viola introduce some bright colors to the scenery.
There is a possibility of rain in the forest, which will transform the trail into a , muddy and slippery experience so gaiters and trekking poles will help. Shorts and t-shirts should be sufficient, but keep your rain gear and warmer clothing handy.
After get in Mti Mkubwa the team will prepare hot drinks such as coffee , tea , and chocolate drinks warm up your body and then waiting for the dinner.

The Lava Tower is the big stone left after glaciation to take place many years ago, It is normally around this point, where for the first time, some climbers will start to feel symptoms acute mountain sickness such as breathlessness, irritability and headaches.

At the beginning, we encounter the hardest part of today stage at Barranco wall evolves a bit of rock climbing , it looks scared but it is easy as you approach it , because its offer many zig-zaga that makes it easy (also commonly referred to as the ‘Breakfast Wall’ as you right there after your breakfast!)

From Barafu hut to Stella point is the most mentally and physically challenging part of your trek to Kilimanjaro but hopefully with the great sense of achievement of reaching your goal and you will realize that this is Kilimanjaro time make the most of it, Starting from 12.00am midnight departure time, We will start with the long and tough climb from Barafu at 4600m to Stella Point at 5720m, making your trek more difficult, after you made to the Stella point the hardest part is done. The Stella point is the top of the ridge but it is not the highest point of the mountain, the highest point of the mountain is UHURU PEAK 5895M (in Kiswahili UHURU means freedom)The name UHURU PEAK found after Tanzanian independence in 1961
From Stella point you will realize that it is easy to reach UHURU PEAK from there , it will take just maximum of 45min to 1 hour to accomplish the dream and say wow!!, I made to Kilimanjaro!, the highest free-standing mountain in the world and the peak of Africa! After a rest and lunch at the Barafu hut, we continue back down to the Mweka Hut. Today’s walk takes us back down through the alpine desert, heath and moorland zones until we again enter the Rain forest zone via Millennium Camp (3770m).
This will be our final stop on the trek to Kilimanjaro. We should arrive there at about 4pm – and you have been walking for around 16 hours, less breaks! Exhausting, that starting from mid-night.
